TNPSC Special Competitive Examination 2024
TNPSC has released recruitment notification for Special Competitive Examination to the post of Typist in Employment and Training Department in Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service, only from the Temporary Typists, who were temporarily appointed in Employment and Training Department under Unemployment Assistance Scheme .

Salary
The selected candidate will be paid in the pay scale Level 8 Contributory Pension Scheme(CPS)
Age Limit
The candidates should have completed the age of 18 years and should not have completed 32 years as on 01.07.2024.
For BC(OBCM),BCM, MBC/DC – The maximum age should not have completed 34
For SC, SC(A), ST – The maximum age should not have completed 37
Educational Qualification
A pass in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Examination (10th Standard)
Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting
- by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or)
- by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower / Junior Grade in English (or)
- by Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower / Junior Grade in Tamil
A pass in Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation conducted by the Technical Education Department, Government of Tamil Nadu
Note : Candidates who do not possess Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu may also apply. If selected, they should acquire such qualification within the period of their probation or within two years from the date of appointment to the post.
Knowledge in Tamil
Candidates should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.
The candidate shall be deemed to possess an adequate knowledge of Tamil if, he/she has passed the SSLC examination or its equivalent examination / HSC / Degree, etc., with Tamil as one of the languages or studied the High School Course in Tamil medium
Scheme of Examination
The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode as a single paper (S.S.L.C Standard) of 3 hours duration.

Important Note –
- Part B of the answer sheets will be evaluated only if the candidate secures minimum qualifying marks of 40% (i.e., 60 Marks) in Part A
- Total marks secured in Part-A and Part-B taken together will be considered for ranking.
- The questions in Part-A Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test will be set in Tamil only.
- The questions in Part B will be set both in Tamil and English.
Selection Procedure
Marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination would determine final ranking. The final selection will be made based on the total marks obtained by the candidate in Written Examination.

Examination Centre
The written examination will be held at Chennai centre (0101) only.
Examination Fee
The examination fee of Rs. 100 (Rupees One hundred only) should be paid at the time of submitting the online application.
