Eligibility Criteria for BEL Recruitment 2022
Upper Age Limit for Project Engineers I : Upper age limit is 32 years as on 01.11.2022.
Upper Age Limit for Trainee Engineers I : Upper age limit is 28 years as on 01.11.2022
Relaxations:
The upper age limit will be relaxable for SC/ST candidates by 5 years and for OBC candidates by 3 years. For candidates belonging to PWD category having minimum 40% disability or more will get 10 years‟ relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to the categories mentioned above.
Educational Qualification
Full time (4 years) BE/B.Tech course from reputed Institute/University in the following Engineering disciplines –Electronics/Electronics & Communication/ E&T/ Telecommunication. Method of conversion of CGPA to percentage has to be attached.
Minimum Percentage of Marks in BE/ B.Tech:
General/EWS/OBC: 55% & above
SC/ST/PwBD: Pass class
Terms of Engagement & Remuneration:
Project Engineer-I will be engaged initially for a period of Three years which may be extended upto a maximum of One more year (Maximum tenure of 4 years) based on project requirement and individual performance.
Project Engineer-I:
1st year – Rs. 40,000/-
2nd year – Rs. 45,000/-
3rd year – Rs. 50,000/-
4th year – Rs. 55,000/-
However, if any candidate has completed three years of tenure as a Trainee Engineer in BEL and has applied for Project Engineer post he/she will be directly inducted as Project Engineer–II. The remuneration of such candidates will be
1st year – Rs. 45,000/-
2nd year – Rs. 50,000/-
3rd year – Rs. 55,000/-
The overall tenure will be limited to 3 years only.
Trainee Engineer-I will be engaged initially for a period of Two years which may be extended upto a maximum of one more year (Maximum tenure 3 years) based on requirement and individual performance. Candidates will be paid a consolidated remuneration of
1st year – Rs. 30,000/-
2nd year – Rs. 35,000/-
3rd year – Rs. 40,000/-
Post Qualification Experience as on 01.11.2022:
For Project Engineers – I: Candidates should have minimum Two Years of post qualification industry experience
For Trainee Engineers – I: Candidates should have minimum 6 (Six) months of post qualification industry experience
Also experience in the following areas is desirable:
1. Experience/Knowledge on:
a. Ethernet communication 10Mbps to 10Gpbs, LAN & WAN Concepts
b. Ethernet Layers (TCP/IP), IPv4, IPv6
c. Switching equipments like Routers, Switches, Hubs, Etc
d. Ethernet & Optical Test Instruments
e. TDM, PDH(E1-E4), SDH(STM-1to STM-64) Communication
f. Voltage regulators, Inverters, Batteries used in communication equipments
g. EMI/EMC standards and testing methodologies
2. Responsibilities
a. Develop Test Set ups for Testing of PCB/Module/ Unit Level
b. Develop ATEs (Automatic Test Equipments) for Hardware Testing using
automation tools like Boundary Scan/Flying Probe tester/LABView, etc
c. Testing & Troubleshooting of in house designed embedded (FPGA based)
PCBs/Modules/Systems
d. Offering of Equipments to customer for Quality Checks
e. Installation and commissioning of projects in Field on pan India basis.

i. Candidates possessing Industrial experience only need to apply.
ii. Academy/Teaching/Research work experience will not be considered as relevant industrial experience.
iii. Candidate should posses Experience certificates/Documents issued by the previous and present employer clearly indicating period of employment and post held.
iv. The decision of the Selection Committee with respect to industrial experience will be final. Work experience indicated without supporting documents will not be considered and is liable to be rejected/cancelled without any prior intimation.

SELECTION PROCESS
Written Test for 85 marks
Personal Interview for15 marks
The venue for the Written Test/ Interview will be at Bengaluru

Trainee Engineer: General/ OBC/ EWS category Rs. 150/- plus applicable GST
Project Engineer: General/ OBC/ EWS category Rs. 400/- plus applicable GST
